Happy National Fluffernutter Day

A sandwich worthy of Elvis.

Fluffer-what? Flutternutter is a bizzare sandwich combination of peanut butter and marshmallow fluff on totally white Wonder-type bread that was supposedly invented in New England, I’m thinking by a cousin of Elvis. Some people add honey or bananas and even potato or corn chips. (Gotta stop…think I just threw up a little bit.) There’s even a proposal to make it the official state sandwich of Massachusetts. I found Fluffernutter jingles and TV commercials online. Check them out here. Let me know if you’re daring enough to try one.
