Today is graduation day for my daughter Isabella. She’s graduating from Folsom High School. Yea! We are all so proud of her and everything she’s accomplished, and so excited to see what’s ahead for her future.
Knowing that graduations will continue through June, I thought you might like to see these cute little graduation caps that I made for cupcake toppers for her graduation party. I’d love to take credit for the design, but they are all over the internet. The instructions I found called for mint patties, but instead I purchased Ghiradelli chocolate bars because they break into eight perfectly sized squares.
Mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
Ghiradelli Chocolate Bars (will give you 8 squares) or any other square item
M&Ms in your School’s Color
Tube Icing in Your School’s Color
1. Unwrap the peanut butter cups and break the chocolate bar into 8 squares.
2. Place the peanut butter cups upside down, using a tip on the icing tube, put a small blob of icing on the top. Place a chocolate square on top and gently press down to adhere.
3. Place another small blob of icing in the middle of the chocolate square and place an M&M on it, pressing down slightly.
4. Draw three lines of icing from the M&M over the edge of the chocolate square to make the tassel.
